DAY 1 (10 Oct) : Singapore/Shanghai/Maglev Train/Hangzhou (D)
Your holiday begins with a pleasant flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, we board "The world's only Maglev Train" that is in actual operation. The train works on the principal of Magnetic Levitation; you'll be surprised by its stability and quietness as it whisks you from the Pudong Airport to Shanghai City center in less than 10 minutes. Next, depart for Hangzhou by coach, which won the title 'Paradise on the earth'. After enjoying Earthenware pot dishes dinner, we will check into the hotel for a night stay.

* For passengers taking the midnight flight (flight no: SQ826)and arriving in the morning, you wil be picked up by the guide for breakfast and thereafter, proceed for shopping at Shanghai Old Town.
 
DAY 2 (11 Oct) : Hangzhou/Feng Shui Talk/Boat Cruise West Lake/Meijiawu Longjing Tea Plantation/Yiwu International Trading Centre/Hengdian/Jiangnan Water Town/Thunderstorm' (B/L/D)
We start the day with the Feng Shui Talk. Thereafter, take a smooth cruise around the renowned West Lake, enjoy West Lake's charming scenery. Then proceed to the Meijiawu Longjing Tea Plantation for a visit and a sampling of this world renowned tea. Next, we will board the coach and head to the popular global shopping paradise - Yiwu International Trading Centre, which is the largest mini commodity town in China. Proceeding to Hengdian, where one can enjoy a starlet experience at the movie filming studio. Jiangnan Water Town will be the next stop after dinner, the surreal scenery reminds one of a classical Chinese painting, attracting all ages to appreciate the primitive simplicity of Jiangnan Water Town. After that, we will watch a thrilling performance 'Thunderstorm'. (Performances are subject to weather conditions and will be cancelled due to unsuitable weather, no claims & refund can be requested.)

DAY 3 (12 Oct) : Hengdian/Qin Palace/Suzhou/Zhouzhuang/Shanghai/Nangjing Road (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we explore the Qin Palace, the film site for numerous TV and Movie Epics. The resplendent replica occupies an area of 600mu, boasting 27 grand palatial buildings. The Palace of Emperor Qin, the first emperor who united China in the 2nd century BC, was buried with terra cotta figures in his tomb. In 1997, this location provided the background for the filming of a historical epic "Jingke Assassinates Emperor Qin". It is also the choice
location for China’s internationally acclaimed director ZhangYimou for his hit film, Hero. After lunch, we proceed to Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water townships in southeast of Suzhou, China. It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and strong local colorful traditions and customs. Zhouzhuang is mainly famous for the small water lanes and the riverside ancient buildings. Highlights in Zhouzhuang include water lanes & stone bridges, the Twin Bridge, Fu'an Bridge and so on. One of the most well-known people of Zhouzhuang was Shen Wansan, the richest man in the south of the Yangtze River during the early years of the Ming Dynasty. He conducted trade by capitalizing on the convenient waterway transportation in Zhouzhuang. The place thus became a flourishing town in the south of the Yangtze River at that time as well as a distributing centre of grain, silk, porcelain wares and handicrafts. The special local dishes with the strongest local flavor are pig's shank and feet, which are originated from Shen Wansan's family. Locally called "Wansan Pig Shank" and "Wansan Pig Feet", they were indispensable dishes the Shen's prepared to entertain distinguished guests. We will depart for Shanghai after dinner. Stroll at Nanjing Road known as "First Street in China". Thereafter, check into the hotel.
 
DAY 4 (13 Oct) : Shanghai/Shanghai World Expo Sites (B/D)
After breakfast, you will be escorted to the Shanghai Expo Sites. The theme of Expo 2010 is "Better City, Better Life," representing the common wish of the whole humankind for a better living in future urban environments. Shanghai World Expo will be the biggest event in its history, with 192 countries and 50 International organizations having confirmed participation. Thereafter you are free to roam at your own leisure.
 
DAY 5 (14 Oct) : Shanghai/Chenghuangmiao/Ascend the Oriental Pearl Tower/Wuxi/Liyuan (Li Garden) (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the Chenghuangmiao Commercial Centre where you will taste the local delights and enjoy great shopping. Next, ascend to the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is the highest in Asia and third in the world. Up on the Glass Floor, you will have a bird’s eye view of the Great Shanghai. Thereafter, we depart for Wuxi. On arrival, we will proceed to the Li Yuan (Li Garden), one of the most famous gardens for lake scenery in China. Legend has it that 2,400 years ago, Grand Master Fan Li helped Goujian, the Duke of Yue, eliminate the state of Wu. He then took the wise move of stepping down and returning to the seclusion of Wuli Lake together with Xi Shi, one of the four famous stunning beauties in ancient China. Li Garden is a private garden built in the early 20th
century. The garden is classical Chinese in layout and architecture. It is a mix of rock formations and greenery, a lot of which is man-made. The garden landscape merges with Lihu to become the most beautiful spot on the entire lake.
 
DAY 6 (15 Oct) : Shanghai/Maoshan Mountain Scenic Spot/Nanjing/Yangtze River Bridge/Fuzhimiao Mall (B/L/D)
Maoshan Mountain Scenic Spot, a famous Taoist mountain in China was once known as the First land of blessing and the eighth world of caves for Taoism. This temple among grotesque and verdant hills lures a large number of pilgrims and tourists each year. The points of interest at Mount Maoshan include Nine-Clouds Hall, Yuanfu Hall, Qianyuan Hall etc. Maoshan Mountain is well known for the bronze statue of Laozi, the founder of Taoism and was recorded by Guinness for being the biggest in the world. Next, we will depart for Nanjing to visit the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, the pride of the Chinese. Works on the building of the bridge began in 1960, and right from the design to the last bolt and nut, everything was done without the help of the outside world. Although it took eight years and severe hardship to complete, it was and still is the pride of the Nation. Our last stop at Fuzhimiao Mall consists of a series of tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and entertainment arcades, all done up in "Ming" and "Qing" style architecture.
 
DAY 7 (16 Oct) : Nanjing/ZhongHua City Gate/Xuanhu Lake/Beijing/Di'an Gate/Singapore (B/L/D)
This morning, we visit the Zhong Hua City Gate, the best preserved Chinese ancient castle, and the biggest and most splendid city gate of the Nanjing city wall. Follow by visiting Xuanwu Lake, situated at the foot of Mt. Zhongshan, a beautiful scenic spot protected by China. According to legend, in the Southern Dynasty a black dragon was seen in the lake. Chinese Taoists believed that the black dragon was a water god appearing as the uniform of a turtle and snake, called Xuanwu. Hence, the lake was called Xuanwu Lake. Thereafter, we transfer to the airport for the flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant, Beijing for dinner. At 2145hrs, proceed to Di'an Gate for Zi Wei Star observation. Thereafter, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Singapore.
